Free! Thanks for the support of "51-61-74" picked by bandcamp for "NEW AND NOTABLE"

The track on this release is the one that started it all. When I got going, as I was learning to use this new instrument, to keep the melody alive, my arms got crossed like a triple twisted pretzel.

Tom Moody writes about it:

Indeed, sound is amalgamated and congealed by the Step.4D™ into an improvised "chord", a resolution of crossed signals. Better to read his words, insights, and general wisdom.

Thanks to my Brooklyn bandmates, Ron, Pat, Drew, Richard and Marc, who taught me how to play, often on the job - meaning: live on stage, including an experienced crowd at CBGBs (R.I.P.) or, worse, a noisy Williamsburg art party.

Thank you also to the people I met on the internet in typical places but also others, where you listened to my story and helped me put together this homemade instrument with ideas & materials.

I hope you enjoy.
